Texas High School Football

As a Texan, I have learned that I take many things for granted. This weekend Michael and I took a couple of friends who just moved to Texas to a high school football game. Now I should say, it wasn't just any football game it was the Clash of the Champions: Southlake Carroll vs. Miami Northwestern. The #1 and #2 high school teams in the nation.
The stadium was packed out with over 31,800 fans in attendance, and, as our friends stood there amazed that any high school game could attract more fans than a lot of college games, Michael and I realized how lucky we are to have grown up in Texas. Football is a fun diversion in other parts of the country, but it's a state wide passion here in the Lone Star state, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
