Michael Carter M.D. (ALMOST)

Right after Michael accepted his white coat.

Our doctors, who think they're models! :)

We put up with as much as they do....we deserve recognition too! :)

I guess I better start liking doctors soon, or in 3 years anyways. This past Saturday, Oct. 27th, Michael received his official "white coat." Basically, what that means in "real people terms", Michael got a fancy lab coat to walk around the hospitals in over the next couple of years! To him though, this officially means he is a doctor (especially when he puts his stethoscope on). Don't worry, I'm not letting him operate on anyone anytime soon! :)

It was a wonderful ceremony and it was fun to see how excited all the medical students and their families were to have this symbol of being a med student. The ceremony was comprised of the President of UT Southwestern Medical School speaking and then introducing each medical student and presenting them with their coats. I am so proud of Michael and all of his accomplishments! Just to update you on medical school life, Michael has had 6 tests thus far and has already gone through Biochemisty, Embryology, Genetics, and Anatomy. Believe it or not, Michael loves medical school and he amazes me everyday when he comes home to tell me what he has learned. (as long as it's not around dinner time!)
