An "American Orphan"

I've been lacking in things to write lately, so much has happened in the last month, yet not much I really care to share or talk about in the blog world. I'm not really sure why, but none of it really seems blog worthy.

I know I made my new years resolution to take a pic everyday, and I have, but I haven't uploaded any since day 5. On day 7 we found out that my grandfather, Pop, had passed away. He had been sick for a couple of months, but we weren't really expecting it to happen so soon.
Ever since we got back from the funeral, it just didn't seem right to go on like nothing had happened and blog about having a long day at the office or the fact that our all time favorite show, 24, was back on. It just kind of put things in a different perspective, not that life doesn't go on, but just to enjoy it more than choose to complain about anything and everything.

Enough of my rambling, on to the title of this post...my boss sent the below link out to our team on Monday morning she said this article would really hit hard and man was she right. Please take a second to read Brian's post about an "American Orphan". http://www.thinkkindness.org/blog/?p=112#content

Hi, I just found your blog. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. My sympathies to you and your family.
