On Friday, we woke up and drove an hr. into Virginia for a 17 mile bike ride. Can you believe I made it through 17 miles?! I will admit that most of it was down a mountain, but the last 7 miles were pretty brutal. I think this had to be our favorite event of our trip! I was so scared before the bike ride because it had been over 10 years since I was last on a bike, but luckily it came back pretty quickly!
The Virginia Creeper Trail used to be an old railroad track that ran through the mountains, but many years ago they transformed it to a great bike trail.
Stopped on one of the many bridges to enjoy the view!
The Virginia countryside
We made it back just in time to enjoy our last North Carolina sunset
On Saturday we went into town to take in the Blowing Rock city 4th of July Festivies. Michael's little cousin's were in the town parade. Aren't they adorable?!
Katie and Carley waving to the crowd
I love this picture of Carley! They had so much fun!
