Carolina in the Morning

So I'm a little late with the 4th of July post, but things have been a little crazy since we got back. Our trip to North Carolina was amazing! We had such a wonderful time with family and just enjoying the great outdoors. We could not have asked for better weather while we were there, so it made it really hard to come back to the Texas heat. I took a ton of pictures on this trip so I'm sorry for such a long post, but I just couldn't resist showing you how beautiful it was!

We stayed at Michael's uncle's home in Blowing Rock, NC which is located in the Appalachian Mountains. Check out the view below from his patio!

Isn't that view amazing?! This is where we spent most of our time.

On Thursday, we went into town and just let the little kids enjoy the park and the "grown ups" enjoyed several hours of Ultimate Frisbee. We were so worn out afterwards, but it was such a blast! After frisbee Michael's dad decided it would be a great idea to hike back home. Not the smartest move we've ever made! :) It wasn't so bad in the beginning, but climbing the mountain to get to Wes's house was a killer. Below are some pictures of our hike.

Don't hate on the hair...remember after frisbee and during strenuous hike :)

and we made it...the view from his uncle's driveway!!!

Cute cousins! Carley and Katie thoroughly enjoyed having Michael and Taylor around for piggyback rides!
Finally pulled them off their backs to grab a girl picture! I just love them!
